Salary: £24,000 plus sleep in allowance
All shifts operate on a shift basis and include work on weekends and bank holidays

Barford Children's Services is a Residential service offering Care, Education and Therapy to young people. This role is working in a residential in Leicestershire. 

You will be responsible to the Registered Manager, for the day-to-day running of the home and for the delivery of the day-to-day care to the children. To act as the delegated person in the Registered Managers absence. To lead the staff in being aware of their responsibilities at work and communicate the organisation aims to provide a service user led service. To ensure that the care teams are maintaining their therapeutic approach and providing direct work with the children.  To assist in leading staff to operate within legal parameters as described in the Companies Policies and Procedures.  To give support of in the business, clinical & social development of the service. To share responsibility in the protecting of company assets and be proactive in securing a positive company image.


To ensure the highest standards of care are maintained which are consistent with the requirements of the registering authorities and the organisational policies.  To be conversant with the homes statement of purpose, function and management and to provide a level of care and service that meets Regulatory and Company expectations and standards. To participate in an “on call” rota system and understanding that dedication to the role can result in always being contactable (within reason). To provide cover in the event of sickness, holidays etc. To ensure effective communication, leading by example and demonstrating a detailed, professional and knowledgeable understanding of the actual day to day operations of the Home.
A full UK driving license is essential.  You must have or be willing to undertake Diploma Level 4 in Health & Social Care and have two years relevant experience at a Senior level responsible for the supervision of staff.  This is a brilliant opportunity to make a positive impact on young people's lives, helping them develop and benefit from the support provided.
